when i was little, i was ridign a bike and i crashed and the handle bar hit me dead on
there was bruising but no blood
a week later i was riding the bike and i hit a wall falling onto the pole that connects the seat to the handles and there was blood
(i didnt have my period for years after)
could that have broken it?
my friend is a horse back rider (bareback) and once she was experiencing so much pain she got off the horse and there was blood?
did hers break?
thanks

if its important, we can both use tampons with absolutely no pain
also, we both do ballet, gymnastics, and figure skating so lots of high kicks, splits, and painful lower stretches

is there any chance we still have them

Yeah, it's possible. You're still a virgin until you have sex, of course, but it is possible to break it before you have sex.

it is definately possible in both those activities, and in fact happens to 18% of all American women. Just because you broke your hymen doesn't mean you no longer a virgin, remember virginity in society is seen as the absence of sexual intercourse.

yes you can break it by doing other things than having sex but the only way to be sure is to get checked out by a doctor

Yes! In fact, a majority of women "break" their hymen way before they have sex. Either from basic physical activities, to masturbation. Also, some women have a very stretchy hymen, which can stay intact even after intercourse. The hymen really, doesn't have anything to do with virginity.

Yes and yes. Or gymnastics, kicking a soccer ball, running, or a number of other things. Just depends on how thin yours is.
