I am interested in becoming a medieval archaeologist, professor, and scholar, specifically that of northern Europe. Since I have yet to come across a medieval archaeology department at any schools I have looked into, could anyone tell me about departments of medieval studies and/or archaeology that they have attended? I would like to get a better understanding for them and any possible recommendations. Specific schools I have been looking into for these departments/programs are so far: Cornell, Yale, Columbia, Princeton, William and Mary, the University of Virginia, the University of York, the Univeristy of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge. If anyone could tell me about those programs at these schools or any others they would recommend/dissaude, I'd greatly appreciate to hear about them. I am applying next year. Thank you very much.
