could anyone suggest a good book to read?

i'm not much of a reader but i've read books by John Marsden and i like them a lot. i'm into stories where an individual tells his/her story from their view, may it be of their personal lives or how they percieve a situation in their own opinion. or anything psychology-related.

i'm not so much into books about romance, adventure, sci-fi or crimes though

anyway, if there are any good books you could recommend me to read, regardless of the type of stories, i'm up to check them out at the bookstore still :)

anything by tom clancy or oliver north. oliver north has a book called assassins which i'm reading now. so far, best book i've read yet. but thats just me because i'm interested in military. what interests you?
