A new Smurfs series could have lots of potential. If they cut out the cheesiness and used the original comics as actual storyboard reference, that would be one wacky, cartoony show. The slapstick violence in that comic was hilarious. Not even Smurfette was safe.
As for Tintin, there was a (very good) animated series of it, which aired down here on CN Latin America. I don't know if it aired on CN US.
