You are experiencing "DYSPHAGIA" or difficulty swallowing, which can be caused by a variety of things. How old are you and how long have you been noticing this? Generally, symptoms lasting longer than a few weeks should be reported to your doctor, who may wish to send you for tests, specifically an upper GI series of c-rays or a modified barium swallow, which is just a fancy name for an x-ray that closely analyzes your swallowing of different fooRAB (and video tapes the results for analysis).

Right the other way for me. I can eat and not cough (or even eat a bite to slow down cough) But, afterwarRAB is when I pay. Feels like mucus coming up all way into my face and chronic coughing or choking feeling.I can lie down and usually just fine. Go figure.
