cost to fix timing on my car?

i was looking to buy a car from this guy and he said its drives fine but he says it needs to be timed?
iv never really heard about this till now.
im just wondering how much do you think it will cost to get the car timed right.

i was reading up a little on this and it seems like many things car go wrong and im a little worryed about this car, scard its going to cost a lot to fix.

Its a pretty old car 91 integra and it has about 160xxx miles on it, iv text drove it and it seems fine to me, I don't notice anything wrong with it? Shifts fine and stuff
But its when I asked him, is there anything that needs to be fixed on the car? And he said it needs to be timed
So that's that, what's your guys input on this?
 
Is the car running now, will it start up are dose it just spin over, if it's running and has a bad miss or just running rough ,then your probably ok, but if it not running at all you need to walk away from the deal, you could be getting into big money if it 's not running, the head or valves could be screwed up, if the timing belt broke.
