Cost of long distance calls via UMA?

Hey guys. Just got back into the country after a very long vacation overseas. I was pleasantly happy at the ability to call everyone back in the states for free via UMA connections. My question now is now that I'm back here, how much does it cost to call a long distance number via UMA? I have been so used to using UMA to make calls that I didn't think twice about talking to a cousin in another country for 30 minutes. It wasn't until the next day that I realized that I may be charged for the call. Should I be expecting a huge bill (bigger than usual I guess) next time around or am I safe?

Call customer service and see what the cost is. It will probably be lower than the mobile network rate, but dont expect it to be significantly lower.

Most carriers (I just did that exact same thing with AT&T) will let you add their international calling plan and back date it to the beginning of your current billing cycle. For example I had to make a number of international calls over a few days and then realized I hadn't got around to adding the international calling plan yet. I called AT&T and asked them to add it and back date, which they did, so I paid for a full billing cycle of international calling at $3.99 per month plus a low per minute rate instead of the huge $1.50/minute (about) rate without the plan.
