A while ago I asked about RAZR-factor phones. And then the N75 rumors started and I waited. Well, the rumors are going away and I want a new phone, but my priorities are a bit different now. I want a...
Reasonably small high-end flip phoneGSM (I use Cingular and like it)Decently quick J2ME engineGood data support for Cingular technologies (e.g. EDGE and newer)Must support voice tags and bluetoothI don't care about the cameraMust be currently available because "next week" never comes.Cost doesn't really matter. If it's sufficiently enticing, I'll pay $700.
Any good options? I mostly know the Nokia and Motorola worlds; if Sony or Sanyo have any good flip-phones, I'm completely unaware of them.

Thanks.

i would wait for the n75 since its got umts on it but only if its avail in ur area, if not that, the phone i currently use is the nokia 6131 better than the razor imo or maybe even the z710 from sonyericsson, the a707 from samsung is also a good option faster than the n75 since its packet data is HSDPA faster than umts and umts is faster than edge. but if your not getting HSDPA in ur area then UMTS and if not UMTS than you will get edge, and then possibly the cingular 3125, (too big if you ask me) but has windows mobile, and a little bit of the razr look

all i can think of as of now, if i have any other ideals ill post... hope that helps

definitely, samsungs have their program called voice signal where you wouldn'y need to setup up each contact with their own recording it does it automatically for you.

Samsung's do? I'll have to verify with their manual; the Cingular reps and PhoneScoop both indicate no voice tags.

BigD, I SMS a lot and input a fair amount in my web browser. The Ming looks really cool, but the only input is via the touchscreen, which would slow me down a LOT for lack of tactile feedback. And inputting on top of the web browser (rather than using a separate keypad for input with the display on the top half of the clamshell) would probably be annoying too. The Ming is really cool, but functional would trump cool for me.
