cosmetologist, please read!?

im a 17 yrold girly girl. I really like getting my hair high lighted, and extensions put in, and I love make up! I also love doing ppls hair and make up! I need to know the basic stuff about cosmetology before I decide its defineitly what I want to do first though. what all do I have to take in college, what classes, are they hard etc. how is the pay? should I be worried about getting sued if I mess up someones hair? what all do you do as a cosmetologist? and anything else you would like to add that you think would help me make my decision! thank you so much!!

you can either be a free lance cosmotoligist, that is how a lot of people get started. or you can get you cosmotology licence. first you should start at a counter to get practice on real women and men. then you can go on to bigger and better things.

if it is something you enjoy doing that would be something beneficial to you... money can be good aftter you get your clientele built up unless you work at a salon such as beauty brands where there are a lot of walk ins... thats where i started at and still work ... at community colleges they have programs strictly for cosmetology depending ont he state you live in depends on how many hours they require you to take....no they wont sue you for messing htere hair up most likely what would happen is they would be pissed off and want some else to do their hair and fix it for free.... if you friend it and it fell out then you might have to worry but after you go to school you will learn everything....although cosmo. schools are very strict with there attendence policy its really not hard at all just make sure you pay attention to what they say
