So basically I have this gut feeling that my votes are going to be rigged by the ASB advisor who is in charge of all these positions/elections. For some reason she is always on MY case and critiquing me in her class probably because I don't suck up to her like all the other ASB kids do. Anyways, I'm running for my last year SENIOR CLASS PRESIDENT this year as I've been teh class president every other previous year against one of her FAVORITE students who suck up etc. She even told him to run because she quote said, "I don't see the leadership qualities in her(me)". This makes me very frustrated because she really DOESNT know me. If you asked anyone else, they'd say completely different. I am ranked in the top1% of my class, nice, responsible, but just because I don't suck up to her I know I'm not going to win.

She says she has all these ways of voting and counting votes, but the thing is the kid that is running against me is not well liked around the school for his sucking up ness and cheating record. Anyways, I would just like to know if in the end I really did lose, is there anyway I could fight it? What is there to do? If she is already talking about how bad I am and finding all these reasons why I'm NOT a good leader, then chances are I won't even get it. >.< PLEASE HELP!

This is going to be harsh:

Elected school positions such as Class President, are full of bunk anyway. They are mainly popularity contests, and the student most liked by the student body is generally elected. Maybe it's because where I came from, but a Class President is only really responsible for class trip planning, and possibly a "gift" to the school.

If you win, great. If not, don't sweat it.

Now, practically speaking, if you really want to win, you have to get in touch with the students and campaign. You need to boost your profile and get seen. If you can influence the majority of the student body to like you, then most likely you will be elected, regardless of your leadership abilities. In essence, suck up to the students. Tell them things they want to hear. And don't let anyone see you get upset or angry. Try your hardest. It's all you can do.

Good luck.
