Correct mentality for military?

I have always taken interest in military. I think this will be my fate. Some people are for it and some are not. They ask why, but i never have a reason. It is more of just a calling it seems like. I really want to be a Navy SEAL. I cannot see myself doing anything else. Is this the mentality of the people who become something like this?
Also the thought of death does not scare me like it does most people. I could die easier in a car accident than being in combat or on some sort of mission. I tend not to just let things go when i focus on it either. It drives me insane if i give up on something

Sounds like you have the desire, thats a good start. But desire is no good without backing it up with actions. I dont know how old you are, but if you are a junior or Senior in High school now is the time to begin preparing for it.
You need to decide if you want to be enlisted or officer. Because if you choose to become an officer you need to earn a Bachelors degree first. Either way if the SEALS is what you want you will have to be in excellent physical condition and good in the water.
I felt the same way as you when I was in High School, only about Army Special Forces instead of the SEALS. It took a lot of hard work but I am now doing what I always wanted to do and have no regrets.
Good Luck.
