I'm taking a college course that uses Corel Draw X3, I just got the software and it runs extremely slow on my computer, about a second between each screen refresh (about 1 FPS). My computer is way better than the ones used at school, I don't know why its running so slowly, the screen refreshes so slow its very hard to use the software.
School computers that run its very smoothly: (they're dell laptops)
Intel Core 2 Duo @2.4 ghz,
~2GB ram,
nVidia Quadro FX 1600M
Win Vista Business, 32 bit
My PC:
Intel i7 920 Quad w/HT 2.8 GHz
6GB DDR3 1333
nVidia GTX 285 1 GB (about equalivant to nVidia Quadro FX 5800- same GPU chip)
Win Vista Home Premium ,x64
(bench marked with Crysis @ 33 fps, 1920x1200 all max settings)
I don't think its my hardware, I think it may be a software issue or a settings problem,
Please Help!
