I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon, I'm fairly handy and change my oil when I can, but when crunched for time I take it in. One mechanic told me I need my cooling system flushed. Or that I should have it done on a high milage car. (It has 133,000 miles.) A friend of mine agrees with the mechanic while another mechanic told me that's a bunch of bull, that opening up the cooling system unnecessarily will cause rust and oxidization, causing the system to wear out prematurely. What's the thoughts around here?
