I drive a 2005 Mazda RX-8. It seems like the cooling fan runs more than it should. It began over the summer, and I didn't think anything of it because it was hot out... but it would usually always kick on after only driving a few miles, and would run for about 15 minutes after shutting the car off...
It is now November, and its much cooler out and it still runs. Not nearly as much as it did in the summer... but it just seems weird to me that it runs even though it is so cool out.
I've been told that this is normal, but I don't feel that it is because when I first got the car the fan never ran.
Also, the temp guage is normal... its not reading any hotter than usual...
Any idea why this started happening? Any info would be appreciated!
