Coolest Toon Car

Again, no polls or limits. They can even be sentient. Here's one of my favorites (if not my favorite period) from "Trollkins":

The Mystery Machine; (13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo Version) Yes, the original Mystery Machine is classic, but I loved the look of the updated red van, and wish it had been used beyond the intiial show.

The Biscuit Mobile: (Pound Puppies) Used in the episode 'Secret Agent Pup', it just seemed like such a fun vehicle, and once you the saw the actual scale of it compared to a human's size, it was beyond adorable.

The Turtle Van: (80's TMNT) The original party wagon. Who didn't want to drive this thing?

Ecto-1: (The Real Ghostbuster) Who knew driving a pimped out hearse could look so awesome?

Do you remember all those amazing cars from the Wacky Races series? I used to love that show...it was amazing! Such a shame they don't show it on TV anymore, that one was a true classic. Good old Dick Dastardly and his faithful little companion Muttley would go to any lengths to win the race, cheating with ridiculous yet hilarious schemes, which of course always backfired. Get that show back on our screens! Orrr in today's climate maybe we should bring in a new environmentaly friendly Wacky Races...less of the cars...more about road bikes and rollerblades!

Some of my favorite car designs are from H-B's The Wacky Races:

The Mean Machine - It's purple (my favorite color), sleek looking and it has a rocket exhaust on the end of it. What's not to like?

The Army Surplus Special - Who wouldn't want to drive a car that's half tank? especially driving home during Rush Hour!

The Converter Car - Admittedly, I'm not overly fond of the design, but I love the idea of a car that can transform into any other kind of vehicle.

The Batmobile, of course! :D Any version of it.

The Gadgetmobile, who probably has as many gadgets as it's owner.

Special mention to Flash's van in Justice League.

Action vehicle: maybe the Batmobile (Batman:TAS or the comics' versions)...

Comedic vehicle: the Flintstones' car. A Stone Age automobile that's foot-powered (or some combination of foot-power and an engine in episodes with gas stations shown). That and being able to slam on the "brakes" without tearing one's legs off. Cool car to me... :-p

-B.

Have to see this in color to really appreciate how cool the car was, if not the show:

Plus, have to include a picture of my favorite car from the Wacky Races:

...and, as a bonus, here's a look at all of the racers:

Neat, huh?
(Note: I originally had a bigger version of this picture in this thread, but it's become unavailable. If anybody has a bigger version, send it to me and I'll substitute it for this one.)

As for me, I'll be pretty obvious and pick this little beauty:

I may post more if I think of them.

I was going to post that one myself. That is by far my favorite car in all of animation, and ties with KITT as my favorite fictional car of all time.

It's amazing how well it aged.

Actually, it's an ambulance. (A 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor, to let my Ghostbusters fanboy side get technical about it. :D )

And it's a close second for me behind . . .

Hands down my favorite is the Mach V, it has always been my favorite cartoon car since I was a kid. It looks like it should be a real car. Man I long for a new Speed Racer cartoon (a good one, not the crap they had on Nicktoons).

After that comes the Batmobile, and Inspector Gadgets gadget mobile.

I've always been a big fan of the Gadgetmobile. Its a Delorean inspired model, a mini van, can transform and has plenty of cool tricks up its sleeve. Its just too bad it doesn't have a competant driver.

The BTAS Batmobile is pretty much a classic in term of design. I also like the versions used in The Batman, especially the second version. Its a nice modern take on the car.

So they're ALL your favorite, then? Not that that's a bad thing, of course.:)

Thanks for the pic in color! As for Wacky Races, the Crimson Haybailer is probably my favorite.

I like Rodimus Prime's.

Oh, RV's can be counted. Several have already listed the Mystery Machine which a van. Even motorcycles can be included; as long as they run on wheels and fuel (or reasonable facsimiles).:)

Oh I know. I was poking fun at the concept of someone finding his RV mode to be considered cool :D. In Transformers:The Movie, Hot Rod was probably the coolest car yet in the Transformers universe. Then Hot Rod receives the matrix, and all of a sudden he's this stupid RV. At least he got to be a cool sports car again after Optimus Prime returned from the dead.

For me it would have to be either the Ecto-1 from The "Real" Ghostbusters or the Turtle-Van from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I loved both of those vehicles and I felt that they really helped to identify both shows in a certain way and become as much a part of both cartoons as the characters themselves. I think I prefer the Ecto-1 slighty more than the Turtle-Van though, but both vehicles were really amazing and made for great toys as a kid too.
