what about this heat today aww.. 44.7, i know that in the australian heat, the hottest part of the day is between 11am & 3pm, but what i want to know is what happens after that time? when does it start cooling down? between what times does it start cooling down?

You're so lucky!! It's winter here in new york. Well, in the summer over here it starts to cool down after the sun sets. After 9pm it's usually better.
I would assume the coolest part of the day, though, is just before the sun rises because it's the longest your country goes without heat from the sun until it rises.

I am glad I'm not down in Melbourne! I'm in Cairns and it's only about 31 most days and people think it's hot here, it's really not! Anyway, I have found that the coolest part of the day is not actually the day at all! 3 or 4 in the morning is usually the coolest. It starts cooling down as soon as the sun goes down, but it's still very warm.
