I recently turned a 75 quart igloo cooler into an unventilated stereo ice chest. I connected two 6.5-inch 200 watt marine speakers and one Pioneer Car TSW251R 600 Watt 10-Inch Subwoofer to a Jensen Power400 400-Watt 2-Channel Amplifier. About 30-45 minutes after first turning on the unit the amp overheats and I have to open the cooler and let the heat dissipate. After about 15 minutes the stereo will work again only to eventually overheat again. My question is if the 2 speakers and sub are too much for the amp or do I just need to find a way to ventilate the amp? Thanks!
