Coolant gone in my car (2002 Ford Taurus)?

So, i just went out to lunch and coming back I notice I have no A/C and my temperature gauge is on HOT. I get back to work and my coolant is GONE. What could be the possible problems other than a leak?
I also just replaced the tank about 4 months ago because there was a leak in it
Also-we had just checked it last week and topped it off, so it was full last week.
I forget what the tank is called, but it's the little plastic one that you put the coolant into
oh man, it does have a sweet smell :(
 
smell your exhaust, if it's sweet, your burning it. That's bad. and expensive.

Don't drive or run the car for too long without coolant though, unless you want to own a 3000lb paper weight.
 
Cooling fan switch, maybe. You must use the YELLOW Ford coolant. What tank did you replace?? Perhaps you did not bleed the air out of the system.
 
most likely...its still leaking! Its also possible ( but not likely)that you have a blown head gasket and its getting burned off before it drips on the ground...if that was the case though the car would run very badly!!

If you have a new radiator, then the most likely cause is a leaking hose, or a bad water pump.
