My Bio teacher said we can have fish in the classroom if we can figure out ALL the details needed for keeping it, including
-temperature of water
-food
-sociable/not
-space it needs

If you have fish please share your information with me!!! Thx!

A 10 gallon would be a good size for a classroom. Live bearers are usually easy to keep. Live bearers include guppies, mollies, platys, and swordtails. They prefer their tank to be 76 -78 degress. They can be fed tropical fish flakes. They need a filter and an air pump. 25% water changes should be done once a week. Before adding fish you need to cycle the tank for about a month. Add conditioner and aquarium salt when doing water changes.

Number of fish for a 10 gallon:
Guppies - 8
Mollies - 3-4
Platys - 5
Swordtails - 4-5
