Cooking uncooked sausage in sauce?

I heard that I could take the sausage casing off and break them up in the pasta sauce. Although im not sure what tempature to cook them in and for how long. I dont wanna get sick!

Please help!!! =)
 
If you break the sausage into the sauce before browning it and draining the excess grease your going to have a greasy sauce. Take the sausage out of the casing, break it up in a fry pan and cook breaking the pieces up until the meat is no longer pink
