Ok. The thing is, i'm not that good in cooking but there's a cooking exam which is going to be on monday and i need help. I watch tutorials on youtube and watch it and link is here

I tried cooking it and instead of pecorino cheese, i used parmesan cheese. After cooking, i tried it and it taste bad , i don't seem to taste any egg nor anything but the parmesan cheese. Ok the thinh is there's no shop that sells pecorino cheese in my place so i have to use permesan. I will still use permesan but what can i do , i mean like do to make it taste more like the real carbonara where you'd use pecorino? please ! how do i make it better!!!!!
