why would it take 45 min to boil the rutabagas before it was soft enough to eat.? all the recipes I see on line say 15-2 min. Lucky, I started today, Tues. I have been at it for 6 hours with baking the acorn squash an apples and then finally getting the rutabagas done. I have added butter, brown sugar and salt. cinnamon and nutmeg anyone suggest anything else.? ty
