I am a horrible cook. I try to feed healthy meals to my kids and husband, but I HATE to cook. I need to go grocery shopping and no clue what to get that is good for us and no idea what to do with what I get. Chicken fried steak (not healthy), frozen lasagna (not healthy)... Help???!
I make awesome fried chicken, chicken fried steak, spaghetti with tons of meat and fresh tomatoes, the best fresh cooked green beans and fresh asparagus around. Chicken and rice is a hit... that's about my limit and aside from the veggies, these really aren't that healthy.
Thought maybe I should add that I am a 4.0 college student (though 36 with 4 kids and 2 step kids) and am not completely inept. I just feel like I can and should do more to make sure we/they are eating healthy even with all the pickiness we have between them. Veggies are hard to get in the kids though I have found a few ways. Our menu has just gotten so small and boring and I'm afraid, not that healthy these days.
