Chili prawn pasta -

1 x 500g bag of pasta
250g cooked prawns
1 x medium onion
6 x rashers of bacon
Chilli powder
1 x tablespoon of crème fraiche
Sun dried tomatoes
1 x table spoon of olive oil

* Cut bacon into strips

* Cut onion into small pieces

* Add the whole bag of pasta to boiling water and simmer until virtually cooked (not hard and not soggy!). Drain the water and place to one side.

* Add oil to saucepan and add onion and bacon and cook until browned (not burnt!)

* Add sun dried tomatoes and stir for a minute

* Add chilli powder to taste

* Add pasta and prawns, warm through with the bacon, onions and tomatoes, and stir in the crème fraiche (This takes about a minute and can be done off the heat)

* Perfect with a nice fresh salad!

roast a pepper with pasta, mozzarella, pine nuts, bacon/panchetta and savoy cabage, cook up a plane white sauce and add onion and iceing suger or a sweet onion sauce

I would research crock pot recipes, like a roast or something. Putting something in the crock pot and letting it cook all day makes your house smell amazing and also gives the impression that your a better cook than you actually are. :)

Seafood is always great for a special occasion. You can't fail with my shrimp scampi.

Buy bagged lettuce and some Caesar dressing and some garlic bread from the freezer section of the supermarket to make it that much easier on you. Serve this with Chianti

This classic Italian - American dish is easy to prepare and very versatile. Serve it over rice, over linguini or simply from individual gratin dishes accompanied by good crusty bread with which to soak up the buttery - garlic sauce.

Ingredients
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 pounds peeled shrimp, largest you can afford
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
juice of 1 lemon
coarse sea salt
fresh chopped parsley
2 slices Pepperidge Farm white bread, crusts removed and processed to bread crumbs

Method
Heat the butter and olive oil together in a sauté pan. When the foam from the butter subsides, add the shrimp and garlic at the same time, cooking until the shrimp just turn opaque, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat, add the lemon juice and salt to taste; toss, sprinkle with parsely and breadcrumbs. Serve immediately.
