ok, i'm really bored so i decided to cook a pizza but leave it in the cardboard box and wrapper while cooking it to see what will happen. I have the timer on for 20 minutes, but i'm in my computer room typing this so i'm not really watching it. I think 8 minutes have gone by and something smells bad, so i'm worried i ruined the pizza( i really don't want to have to go down stairs to check but i probably will while waiting for a reply)
can anything bad happen from this and will it ruin the pizza? my parents went out of town and this is basically the only real meal i have to eat so i don't want to ruin it. (it's sausage pizza in case that matters)

You are probably smelling the plastic melting on your pizza. The box will eventually catch on fire because it is made out of paper or in this case cardboard. Well I wouldn't eat the pizza because it has melted plastic on it and if you eat enough of it (plastic) it could hurt you. I would eat something else and throw your pizza away as soon as possible.

P.S. Make sure you put the pizza/box under the kitchen faucet and let water run on it because you don't want the garbage to catch on fire if it is still hot.

One time I accidentally cooked a pizza with the cardboard bottom with the pizza. So with the cardboard bottom it just a matter a separating the cardboard from the pizza. As far the wrapper goes, I cannot help you on that one.
