Cookie Jar Toons New Fall 2010 Schedule

I know, I was referring to episode 31. But that's all I can confirm until tomorrow. My DVR's schedule goes up to two weeks (meaning it would go up to November 1 today, and the 2nd tomorrow, etc.)

EDIT: Never mind, I found some of them:

http://thisaffiliate.com/grid/1_e046.htm - According to this, the show will start again at episode 1 on November 12. I wonder if this season has only 14 episodes, or if they're holding the rest off for later.

It could be a matter of it only being 14 episodes (though I think the title seems to indicate there are more), or it could be a matter that only those 14 have been completed.

I wouldn't count on only those 14 being completed if more are planned, because the show's been off the air for two years. You'd think they'd've done 26 full episodes by now, unless production only began recently. On This TV, you can look at the synopsis for each episode, and I have a feeling this could be it.

- MINOR SPOILER ALERT IN THESE LINKS -

We'll discuss it later as soon as I find out how to make a spoiler tag (I only read those last two synopses, and the one my DVR gave of the first four). You can view their entire calender, dating back to when they first started, here:

- AGAIN, POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT, though you actually have to click on the days to see it -

Create a spoiler tag like this:
message goes in here[ 0/spoiler](take out the 0 and you will have the spoiler tags needed). After reading those synopses so I could alter them and post them at TV.com, I fully agree. It sounds like season 2 is only 14 episodes. I have heard of some cases where a second season is only 14 episodes, but it usually involves a 2-part finale instead of a 2-part before hand. I do think the reason they jumped the two-parter and then when back is so they wouldn't end the week on a cliffhanger, but we'll have to wait and watch the episodes before we can say for certain.

I know how to make a spoiler tag, but I figured it wasn't worth it since it's behind links.

I'll glance at those synopses and see if it would cause any continuity errors. If so, I may just save them in my DVR for when they would fit in the story.

Thank you for the links to the ThisTV Broadcast Calendar. According to the calendar, ThisTV will present the episode of "Inspector Gadget" titled "Monster Lake" again on Monday, November 22nd after presenting the episode titled "Pirate Island" on Friday, November 19th. "Monster Lake" is episode number two and "Pirate Island" is episode number 41, but "Monster Lake" is listed on the calendar by the numbers 101 and "Pirate Island" is listed by the numbers 140 (the first digit indicates season one out of three). "Winter Olympics" is episode number one.

So basically, notwithstanding the omission of the pilot, This TV is only showing the "first" 40 episodes. That's kind of lame, really. I was hoping they would show at least all 65.

Which leads to the question, when was there ever a third season? I thought there were only two. After the 65-episode first season in 1983, it aired in reruns for a year, then premiered new episodes in 1985. If there was a third season, when did it happen?

Season two of "Inspector Gadget" began on September 8th, 1984 with "Smelderado" (episode number 54) and season three began on September 14th, 1985 with "Magic Gadget" (episode number 66). Cartoon Resource listed these dates and episodes.

What, THIS TV only ordered a limited number of Inspector Gadget episodes? Doubtful they did the same for Heathcliff and the 2 Sonic shows (but THIS TV has yet to rerun Sonic Sat AM!)

THIS TV never said they were going to rerun Sonic SatAM; you just assumed that they would since they're running 2 other Sonic shows. You can't accuse them of not doing something that they never planned to do in the first place.

Just a suggestion: instead of waiting for THIS TV to start airing Sonic SatAM, you could just purchase the entire series on DVD.

Not only is Silverstar right in saying This TV never ordered Sonic Sat AM, but you should get your facts straight. This TV has no control over the Cookie Jar block of toons. This TV never ordered any episodes of Inspector Gadget nor did they say they would air X amount of episodes. Cookie Jar has complete control of the block. It is Cookie Jar that is choosing to only air 40 episodes of Inspector Gadget, despite having all of them. It is Cookie Jar that is choosing not to air Sonic Sat AM, despite having the rights to show it whenever they choose to. This TV has merely contracted that block of time out to Cookie Jar just as CW has contracted their kids block out to 4Kids. Just as CW has no choice on what airs during Toonzai, This TV has no decision making on that block unless they cancel the contract and go and get that time back, which would then be used for movies.

Just wanted to mention Tuesday should be the start of the Heathcliff episodes that aren't on DVD (the Shout! Factory release anyway).

Can people please read eariler posts? How many times must I say This has no control over the block. They don't choose which episodes get aired. They don't order any episodes. This has contracted the block to Cookie Jar. Cookie Jar decides which episodes air on This. Cookie Jar decides which episodes get released on DVD. Cookie Jar has control over everything during the block. It would do no good to ask This the questions. they would just refer you to Cookie Jar.

I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack. I hope to whatever lies in the sky that I can watch this.

If I can't watch this, then I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack.

During today's presentation of "Inspector Gadget", the title of the episode "Arabian Nights" appeared on screen. After the end credits, the closing sequence with "The Incredible World of DIC" logo appeared on screen instead of the sequence known as "Kid in Bed", which appeared after yesterday's episode.

The poster was probably referring to ThisTV based on the use of the word "this".

I've noticed that, too. I think it's the DVD version (the one Shout! Factory released). This definitely confirms that more than source is being used for the episodes.

Also, I've been meaning to ask. I've seen a few episodes where Dr. Claw doesn't sound like "Dr. Claw". Was he voiced by a soundalike in those episodes? If it was Frank Welker, then why didn't he voice him in those episodes the way he always does? Did he have throat problems or something?

Don Francks, the papa of Cree Summer Francks, played Dr. Claw in a few episodes when Frank Welker was not available to play the character. In the episode "Race to the Finish", both actors played Dr. Claw, but Frank Welker played him for most of the episode. Early in the episode, Dr. Claw says, "More trouble than you think, little girl" with Don Francks' voice, followed by laughter and the phrase, "Bye-bye, Gadget" with Frank Welker's voice. The line said by Don Francks was interesting, as it was in reference to Penny, as played by his daughter.
