i have a whole bunch of clips of me surfing and was wondering how i could convert them all to windows movie maker. ive been trying to figure this out for 2 months and still haven't found a solution so i would really appreciate it if there was a way!! thank you!

Try converting them to avi or mpg by downloading the program below

and then try uploading them into windows movie maker.

Hope i helped =]

first of all, id reccomend you to gather all your clips in the same place. you can create a folder and give it a name, and remember where you save it.
then open window movie maker. and select where it says FILE. then choose IMPORT MEDIA ITEMS. it will take you to an area that gives you access to where your folder is. once you've found the folder open it and select (highlight) all the files that you want and rightclick by putting your pointer inside an item and hit SELECT. all the files you selected will be now in your project and then you can slide them into your timeline and do whatever you want with them.

If media player can play them you should be able to add them to a movie maker project (import) and then publish the movie using move maker. Check the default settings in movie maker first to make sure the settings are what you want.

You may be having codec problems so try to install one of the popular (and safer ones) - Filehippo is a good source.

Sometimes quick time can import some types of clips, especially if you have the correct codecs.

Make sure that media player and movie maker are associated with the correct types. In vista this is re-set through the default programs under the start button.

Be careful with multi-media converter programs, plug-ins, and toolbars especially free ones, They can cause you all sorts of grief.

Make sure you media player is up todate. It can check for updates (under the help button).

Good luck
