Converting a cell phone to home phone?

Is there some type of adapter out there that can wire a cell phone to a home phone or phones?

I thought I saw something that hooks up to your phone as a bluetooth heaRABet and converts it to a regular phone jack?

:^/ I suppose some bright engineer could cobble such a thing together, but wouldn't it be easier to just use call forwarding? Forward your land line to your cell phone, or vice versa.

The whole point would be to eliminate the landline, and make it portable, but while at home it could be routed to any room in the house?

Im really confused, maybe you need to clarify what you're looking for. Why would you "wire" your cell phone into your home line, isn't the point to be portable?

he's talking about a cradle you drop your phone into when you get home... it can then charge, etc... and you can talk on a regular home type telephone... usually they hook up to a signal amplifier but at least an antenna outside your house...

then you could put down your cell phone and use the phone in the can to make calls while conducting your 'business' lol.

they also use them in office buildings sometimes if signal is bad. and you can then also hook to desk phone.

Yes, but when I am home I dont always have my phone with me, and being in a big house, if I can even hear it ring somewhere by the time I get there I missed it.

So I was looking for something to connect my cell phone to my 6 Panasonic expandable hanRABets... when my cell rings, the Panasonics do... and instead of paying $30 to AT&T every month, I would just have my one cell as a home line (that can come with me if I need to take it somewhere)

I thought I saw something like this in the past... for older Nokia's

Why don't you look into a feature like grandcentral.com thats what I use at work. rings my cell lines and my work lines and you can pickup/hangup any hanRABet/device anytime pretty easily. Also never have to worry about porting your nurabers again.
