Convert Windows Media Files to MP3?

Okay i found my MP3 player i lost a while back and so i bought a new ipod and the MP3 player has songs on it that i lost when my computer crashed and so i moved them from my mp3 to my computer but there in Windows Media Audo File and not in MP3 format how do i convert them please help
