I was actually in a band that played a couple of covers of Converge songs for nearly eighteen months, and I'd never heard a Converge record until about a week ago.

and LesPaul43 hardcore is really stuff like From Ashes Rise, Champion, Gorilla Biscuits, etc. But hardcore has evolved and one form of that is Converge

Converge are absolutely amazing, i also didn't really like them much when i first listened to Jane Doe/You Fail me they're definitely a grower band i would say.
