(Sorry if this is the wrong forumor there already is a thread for this.)
Does anybody here go to Anime Conventions? If so which ones? I am thinking about going tomy first convention in London at the end of October, the MCM expo. Do you recommend going to Anime Conventions to fans? Especially if anyone has already been to the London Expo any info about that in particular would be great.

We're supposed to use this here forum: http://www.anime-forums.com/forumdisplay.php?48-The-Symposium

But I dunno, no one uses it. So, I wanna see how this thread goes. Please proceed.

I recommend that every one goes to a convention at least once its worth it.
This year was my third time attending Otakon and every time i have a lot of fun and will go next year to. For me it did get boring to words the end since i went alone all three times and didn't talk to any one while i was there (i tend to be a little shy in public) but i still had fun and i don't think you will regret go wing.

I have went to four in the past: Dallas, Texas' "A-kon" in late May 2009 was my first one. I hanged out with Ramenlover and WarmRamune (2 A4 members) and bought my black samurai sword (Ramune bought me my first Ramune drink, those are good.) Second, was in San Antonio, Texas to "San Japan" in August of 2009, I hanged out with Wjxxhulka66n6 (who I met before in Tulsa) and bought my red samurai sword. Third, was in Tulsa, OK in September 2009 (it was mostly a comic con, but anime/manga was also in it), and I bought a Love Hina manga and a Death the Kid Laptop case. And most recent was in Bentonville, Arkansas in March of this year, I went to a rave and dance with a very cute girl, unfortunately, I arrive to late to buy anything, the dealer's room was close.

I love going to anime conventions! I go to at least 3 anime cons every year here in Florida, Metrocon, AFO and Mizu-con. I plan on attending Otakon next year!

I've gone to one in my area, but don't remember what they call it now. XD They split it up for my region so people wouldn't have to travel as far... and I don't think that was a terribly good plan on their behalf. o_o;; Even if they think it works out better.

They had a one day event in both places this year but I missed the one I bought passes for because my friend who was going to go with me went to a concert in Quebec with my other friend. They were going to take me but I refused, saying I didn't have the money (which I didn't. I spent all my money down in Boston seeing a concert :'D But it was soooo worth it). Now if I'd known that certain band would be going on tour soon with a favourite band of mine, I wouldn't mind them having gone to a different concert later this month when I'm done working.

I didn't want to go alone for a one day event. ._.; It wouldn't be worth it.
