controls on my kawasaki zx6R??

i have a 2005 zx6r and ever since i got it ive been wondering what this button does..... its a button next to the throttle, between the kill switch and the engine start button... it moves to the left and has sort of like a white arrow drawn on it... what is that for??? thanks
