Contract up, need new phone

So I've had my unlocked S710a for a long while now and I absolutly love it but with my contract ending pretty soon, I am free to try other services and phones. At this time I'm still on an AT&T plan and the contract ends in a couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure I'm set on switching to T-Mobile and getting the SK3 because I am ALWAYS text messaging/checking online forums/on AIM and constantly having e-mails coming in for work. I know T-Mobile isn't the best service for phone service and I know that for the money the SK3 is not worth it penny for penny, but it offers me what I need the most of which is the unlimited text/internet/aim plan.

I'm just wondering if there are any other phones out there that come close to what the SK3 could offer me. The SK3 really isn't a big upgrade from my 710a, but I really text/e-mail/check online a lot.

Besides the most stabile OS and the best email system out there, the BB 8100 will have a camera, MP3 capabilities, voice command dialing, a voice recorder, video. It will be released on T-mobile on or about 09/12 and with Cingular a few months later.

You know the price of it? and for sure knows that it will come out 9/12? My contract ends on 9/6 so I'll be looking then. I took a look at it, and only fallback is not a qwerty keypad like the sidekick has.

I also so a guy with a Tmobile MDA. Looks pretty nice, but comparing with the sk3 anyone?

The price is supposed to be $199 for a new contact. No one knows for SURE of a product release until that day, but the best sources say it is likely to be released on 09/12.

Do you think it's best to wait for that or go with the SK3? What I'm looking for is just mainly the use of texting/aim/e-mail/phone. I seem to be online/text/aim more than talking on the phone. I don't need any complex stuff or really any kind of business stuff just yet, and when I do need it, I'll have my business cover my plan/phone.

The only thing I'm looking at are the costs. I'm thinking since I don't really talk on the phone that much, that I go with the get more plan for $39.99 and then when I look at the data plan for the sidekick it says it's $29.99? My ex gf has a SK2 and she is paying $20 for the data plan. Did they just recently raise the price for the data plan or what? She said that if you go in and sign up, they will give you the $20 data plan?

I don't know that much about the SK3 to comment; never used one.

The Blackberry plan with T-mo is $19.99, I believe. I use the enterprise solution (wireless sync for contacts, tasks, calendar), so I pay $29.99.

The newest word on release is 09/06 online and 09/12 in store.
