You have a good point there...lots of clients (**I must add here this is a personnal comment, not a compagny statement**) do take the retention offer, and once it is over just close the door and leave Express Vu. They then offered that for nothing, they didn't end up saving the client

When in Rome do as the Romans give then a call, an hour call would probably save you $100 or not, if you have a grandfathered package.
Don't feel bad Expressvu wants you to call they have a special department just for retention.

Agent Express V
Once again you don't take the time to read.
Here are some quotes from 3 post of your client that you did not read!

I know that there is a certain number of offer maximum per account, but woudn't be able to say whether it is a number of attempts to save or up to X amount. I will inform myself when I cal them again

Look, in this day and age of competition, while my preference may still be BEV's service, I'm willing to go with the provider that offers the best bang for the buck - and as with the uber-competitive cell phone market, promotions and credits are part of the deal.

In my case, I purchased an HDTV a month ago, and thus needed an HDPVR. Rogers had an offer on their website - free rental for two years with trade-in of a satellite receiver. I called BEV - they had the option to match with something similar. In my case, it was not a threat - if BEV had not come through, my immediate next call would have been to try Rogers.

Now for me, my new contract with BEV will expire in one year - I'll then be in a position to re-evaluate the marketplace for TV service and make a new decision. Will I stay with BEV next summer? Depends on what their price/service offering are in comparison to the competition.

I think you should be all over a *C DSR530 where the Skip Forward AND Backward is USER PROGRAMMABLE. A feature NOBODY else has.

If you want 20 seconds back, or 10 or 25 and if you want 45 forward or 60 or 120...
PLUS the 99 JUMP where when you hit a 3 minutes commercial break, you just go 3 JUMP, and VOILA! all 3 minutes of commercial behind you.
No more JUMP, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP

For some strange reason, *C's prices have always been better than Shaw's.

Quite likely the NHLCI and NFLST is the best in the business.
It has been year over year so far.

But they like to manage their growth, so youse gotta pay to play.

Since I have all 3, my favourite is *C, but that free HD PVR deal is hard to resist, and it works very well.

This is what it was Noel... You said that if they weren't matching Rogers offer you would have left. You simply got a retention offer...

And add to this that SC have NO promotion or incentives to attract customers from the competition. So, if you're with ExpressVu, don't count on SC to offer you a deal!

You have to pay the full price for the receivers.

And i think you can't rent the receivers from SC.
