I am considering this project and am looking for sound advice. Is it realtively easy to do? As a novice, would I be better off buying a pond kit with everything included or purchasing all items separately even tho' I';m really not sure what items I'll need. I know this may sound silly to some of you but I really can't afford to hire a pro to install it and I know it will help beautify my yard and provide lots of enjoyment for my family.
I'm thinking about 65 gallons & kidney shaped, something on that order. I did go to Home Depot this afternoon and saw a 65 gallon Beckett with a PVC liner, 2 fountain nozzles, 600 gph pump and flow control valve for $149. I think all I'd need to add to this is an aerator and a small heater for winter. What do you think? Somthing to start with?
Just 3 - 4 goldfish
