Constantine

Well, did you expect much more from Keanu? ;) He's great at playing a slightly confused stoner, or surfer, but I'm afraid those are his limits. I was actually shocked to see him in the trailer for it - I definitely wouldn't cast him in a serious film...
 
I went to see this a week ago. Was surprised that I managed to stay awake for all of it (probably had something to do with spilling half of my drink on myself!) as Keanu is still acting like the plank of wood that he is. Rachel Weiss wasn't too bad though and I liked the twist with Gabriel. Overall I'd give it 5 /10 but no more. It could have been worse, it could have been another Matrix.........
 
Keanu Reeves seemed to be doing a pretty passable impression of John Wayne throughout the film, I was waiting for him to tell one of the demons to get of his horse :D
 
Read the books, John Constantine is blond, English and sexy as hell.
Notice any casting errors - aside from the fact that the guy can't act.
 
I must be a rarity as I quite enjoyed Constantine even if it was a bit slow at the start but once it got going it was really good. I might even consider buying it on DVD. I would give it at least 7 out of 10!
 
Well I must have seen a different film to you lot as I absolutely loved it and thought Reeves and Weiss etc. did a great job. Will definitely get the DVD when it comes out.
 
I liked this movie too. The special effects rocked and I was on edge throughout the movie. There were a couple slow parts but overall great. Keanu did very well as John and bettert than I expected. It cant be too bad of a movie considering it has made over 100 million worldwide and a sequel is already in the works. Definitely one to see.
 
Just seen the film and I am a huge fan of the comics (hence the name). I had my doubts about the film but loved it, I felt that Keanu wasn't that bad and he got John's sarcasm and self preservation traits correct.
Also liked the story as it touched on aspects of Dangerous Habits (the story from the comic it was based on) and loved Lu totally menacing without over using special effects (which they could have easily done). Will buy the DVD as soon as it comes out. :D
