Has anybody else seen the trailer for Constantine yet?
Its due for release in the UK on the 18th of March. Its stars Keanu Reeves as supernatural detective John Constantine. Constantine then teams up with a female police detective, Angela(Rachel Weisz), who seeks Constantine's help while investigating the suicide-like death of her twin sister. So their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the lanRABcape of Los Angeles. It is based on a DC/Vertigo comic book Hellblazer but they had to change the name to avoid any confustion with Hellraiser film!
It seems like this is the first big film of this year and I cant wait to see what it is like as it does look really good. It should be the start of a great comic book year!
 
Yeah I had read loaRAB of good reviews and the trailer looks really good. As my username suggests I am a huge fan of the comic and was a bit worried about the film as the comic character is a scouser with a wicked sarcastic tongue but has been changed to an american for the film (hope Keanu can pull it off). I cannot wait to see this film. :D :D
 
I read some really good reviews about Constantine already but this quote from the review on Superherohype seems to sum it up:

"Constantine" is a cool, dark, supernatural adventure. Keanu Reeves and a great supporting cast deliver fine performances. If you liked Blade, Hellboy, The Exorcist, or The Matrix, you'll find "Constantine" worth checking out.

Its just a pity that us in the UK have to wait untill March 18 to see it but its just another example of UK cinema viewers being treated as second class. I just hope I get to go to a preview screening before March 18!
