Constant throat tightening?

I have been diagnosed with acid reflux and am taking Prevacid. My ENT said it would take about 6 weeks to heal the erosions and start seeing some results. But I have this constant throat tightening or constriction. It does not come and go based on my diet or anything. It feels like a permanent tie around my neck and it makes me dizzy. What could cause this and what else can I do????? Please help, I need some relief.!
 
Thats EXACTLY what happened to me. It did take about 8 to 10 weeks to find relief. You just have to hang in there. I know it is frustrating. I kept feeling like I was going to choke. It is awful but you have to just take it a day at a time while things are healing. Becareful of your diet and drinks during this time. When things get healed you can have some of those fun things again. I am just being more careful about it. Good luck!
