Constant Nausea really worried

I'm really getting worried. I've been feeling nauseous for a little under 2 weeks. Here is what I recollect:

Ate lunch wed before thanksgiving. Could not finish it and felt like I was going to throw up. A few hours later I had to get on a bus to go back home(I live in the dorms at college) for thanksgiving break. The bus ride really made me nauseous.

The next few days I felt a little off but was able to eat. On sunday I had to leave to go back to school. I felt nauseous after eating lunch and had to suffer through a long bus ride back.

Monday I woke up in my dorm and made myself a gatorade drink through the mix I bought. Drank half of it and felt nauseous and dry heaved in class. Felt really nauseous after that morning class. It got better on tuesday, but I was still nauseous.

Wed - Sun I have been developing diarrhea. I think it's getting better now, but still bad. I still feel nauseous. The days that I go to the doctors office I feel great, but then again I usually hadn't eaten much on those days. I didn't eat much yesterday(saturday) and I felt great.

What can this be? a virus? it feels as if there is a knot in my throat all the time. My nausea gets worse if I'm in a situation where I know i can't get out of. Like class, the bus, etc. Kinda sounds like anxiety...

oh I forgot to add that I sometimes feel nauseous when I don't eat(this used to happen before I got sick).

I had the kind of the same problem except mine happened around Christmas, about two years ago.

On Christmas Eve I was nauseous and had diarrhea. The diarrhea went away within a few hours, but the nausea stayed on. I felt hungry and was able to eat, but most of the time could not finish the meals. Sometimes eating made me feel better, sometimes not. I had a lot of antacids during that time.

I went to the doctor who said that it sounds like stress/anxiety from finals and the holidays caused some upset in my stomach. That was what was causing the nausea. She gave me some Previcid samples to help with the acid that was built up in my stomach. They helped.

KDD

I also had a similar problem a few years ago, due to massive stress at my job. My doctor said she suspected GERD and put me on Nexium. It seemed to help the nausea and I eventually got to a point where I didn't need it anymore (after about a year or so). I'm not taking it anymore, but I'm also not at that same job anymore.

So, you should look into the possibility of it being GERD. Do you ever get the heartburn sensation or like some fluid is backing up in your throat at all? That would be another symptom of it.

Sounds maybe like Acid Reflex OR a possible stomach ulcer.... i had the same thing they thought it was acid reflex. Then the pain started.... come to find out i was having a gallbaldder issue

here's a good idea... get a little note book and write down when your eating and how your feelig threw out the day. this will help you remember patterns in your illness... :)

i hope you feel better soon.
