Hi

I have an itch on both sides of my head, above my ears about half way between my crown. I've no lice, eggs, bugs, sores etc, tried 3 different medicated shampoos and it won't go away. Its seems to get worse every evening and night time, what can this be?????

I have an itch too and it comes during PMS time. I blame it on the hormonal changes. Mine is at the base of the scalp. It drives me NUTS!!! I try certain shampoos, but other than that not sure what else to do. Hang in there!

Hiya

Thanks for your reply. But mine is not related to PMS time, I get it evey day for the past 3 months, its driving me insane. When I wash my hair (which was every second day) until I noticed no change. Now I'm back to daily as it gets too greesy looking, it's unbeleavible. I have a GP at work but fell so stupid saying I have a problem with an 'itch' his first comment will be try the usual shapoos, or not to wah my hair to much or lice, its none of them. I'm thinking could it be stress related?? My boss is on Maternity leave and I'm left keeping the boat a float, plus I'm getting married???? or am I just trying ot make excuses?? Maybe its something else, and I hope it is, I'm a fairly laid back person and don't stress too much, not worrying about work or my wedding....... just a thought

SeaBreeze astrigent works well. Not sure what you have in your area equivalent to it. Many beauty shops use this on elderly women that have itchy scalps. I tried it and it does work.

Have you tried Listerine mouthwash?

Yes stress can do it too. It gives me the creepy crawling feeling on my scalp too and the itching. You are right it could be that.

Hi thanks for the replys,

I'm seriously at wits end with it, I simply cna't stand the itch any more. I'll methion it to the doc at work on wed, cause no over the counter treatments work,
I know I siad I don't stress much but after I had a car accidnet I got Alepicahas, a huge bald patch, for a couple of moths, I didn't even realise until my hairdresser said it to me, I nearly died, I thought that experience was more stresfull and I'm seriously not stressing now, but then again it could be somethin on my sub consious????????

Or simply need a medication to stop the ithch??? Last thing I need is worrying bout it in the run up to the wedding.......any suggestuons will be appreciated..
THanks
