Custom paint is OK by me on a Ducati. I think the theme is wrong,
Aviation: NO
Racing: YES

The only dif between this and a custom Ducati Hayden/Bayliss/etc. is the fact it's gray and not white. There's a lot of constraint in OP's choice. No teeth for example. Simple for example.

For that matter anyone who thinks a custom paintjob on a Duck should be riding a Hayabusa obviously hasn't acknowledged Ducati's own custom jobs (again, Hayden, Bayliss, etc.). They ain't red, but they are awesome Ducatis.
