You can squish the resale value naysayers by pulling the OEM plastics and buying one of those ready to paint bodys. Then you can always sell it stock and have the custom body to sell separately and possibly recoup some of the expense of the custom paint. As for your idea though, I like it. I was on submarines. I wonder what a Ducati fast attack sub would look like. Up periscope!

I appreciate all of your opinions and am currently shopping around for quotes.

Regarding the resale value argument, I understand it, however I didn't really purchase the bike with the intention of selling it. Thus, if I take a hit when/if I do sell it, oh well.

And thanks to those who posted the other bikes with similar paint schemes.

I'm in the middle on this, I kind of like the paint but not for a duc. It kind of seems like Japanese script on a harley, do the aircraft theme to something like a gixxer that comes with a gawd awful paint scheme to begin with.
