Conservatives, so in "socialistic" countries of Western Europe there are no businesses?

Just waitresses but no restaurant owners, factory workers but no entrepreneurs, secretaries but no doctors, drafters but no engineers, construction workers but no architects and so on.

And everybody lives from the government and the welfare checks they send them when they collect taxes from.... mmm oh the welfare checks!

Well with Europeans bailing out American failed corporations (can you say Fiat), apparently European Socialism is doing quite well. Oh yea, COMMUNIST China holds all our debt, what does that say about the success of capitalism and the free market? Do you guys ever think before asking questions on YA?

That is not in socialist countries, that is called communists. In communist countries the government owns everything. In socialist countries there are doctors, business owners etc.
Many confuse socialists with communists.
The socialist countries pay more taxes and enjoy more benefits, like having 6 weeks vacation and you have more sick days. You get a Christmas bonus and a vacation bonus. The Companies have more strict regulations than here, for example, it is against the law to work in an office without windows. The tax money is also used to restore historic buildings, public transportation and keep the roads nice and smooth. You pay what you get for. In a Communist country the government owns everything and nobody owns a house. The government regulates everything.
Hope this helps.

restauraunts need >owners<
factories need >entreprenuers<
doctors need >own practice<
drafters need >architects<
engineers need >businesses<
It all needs to function with out government intervention. Did we not study economics?
Karl Marx would love your theory.

European businesses are hobbies compared to the United States.

In America, we can have any form of business we want, we can buy into any business we want, and we can drive that business as far as we want, as long as Obama doesn't try to assume state control.

Until the end of 2008, Europeans were investing more in American corporations than in any other nation's businesses. Even they know what profits and expanding enterprises are supposed to look like.

(Answer me this: when Europe has an anti-trust case in their court system dealing with the concept of business monopolies, why is it always one American company suing another American company, like when Pepsi sued Coke for monopolistic practices in European countries? Aren't there any competent European monopolies?)

They have a bizarre system that the government actually pays you to goto school and get an higher education i was told this by a danish girl.

In a socialistic country like Denmark you can goto school without worrying about having to pay because the government takes care of part of it.

Although the draw back in all of this you can only make so much a year you can't really Excel you'lll only make a moderate sum of money.

Wow and all those European countries are such economic power houses aren't they ? Did you know that Sweden that bright shining light of "socialism" has an unemployment rate of almost 28% when you account for worker absenteeism ? One in 4 workers dont even show up daily. Iceland just went belly up and bankrupt and the UK teeters on the brink. Guess thats why all those Utopian European countries are running away from socialism and scampering back to capitalism.

Let people call Ireland Socialist all they want , last time I checked we were higher on the index of Economic Freedom than the US and have been for years

Might as well not be, since your governments seem to take over industries whenever they want and take like half of your incomes to do it.

What? Yes there are business and industry, but they are socialized or over-regulated. No one said there were no businesses.
