Conservatives How exactly would you EVER help the environment?

Give tax breaks to all people that buy bikes and pedal their way around and saving more money in the process. Consider research in developing a pedal bus for passengers to contribute and earn their way around town.

Foster planting more vegetation for food and oxygen production along with CO2 absorption.

Well first we'd cut down on methane emission by putting an end to the bu** **it in Washington, then we'd send Al Gore to Antarctica to monitor the ice banks and finally we'd ask VP Biden to laugh the Chinese into signing the Kyoto Accord.

Private property rights. You don't have the right to pollute your neighbor's property.

Simple and minimal government interference. Highly logical.

I already do. I clean up after myself and my family does too! Throwing money at Government run environment cleanups just as a payback for votes does not help much. Too many silly programs! They need to use the money wisely!

What we do already...recycle, lower REAL pollutants, carpool, and then the easiest and smartest thing to do when wanting to save energy..don't leave all your lights on when ya don't need em! How exactly is taxing all of America on a normal environmental presence going to help the environment? It won't. All the big players in this get FREE credits--which means they will still produce the same thing or more at no cost to them while everyone else will be forced to produce less or pay through the nose. It's a job killer and an economy killer and has very little to do with the environment if at all. Read the bill. Parts of it are available now--and it's NOT pretty.

I would maintain laws against blatant pollution. Beyond that, I wouldn't do much of anything. I believe people are more important than Spotted Owls, Snail Darters, and Kangaroo Rats.
