Conservative means to conserve, they of course want to conserve the good ideas that they see fit and not the bad ideas.
Progressive liberals means to progress their liberal ideals which means they must be old ideas if they are progressing and if they were good ideas than they wouldnt need progressing so they are progressing bad ideas until its good.
