around this? I got arrested and my car got towed and impounded, not police impound. It was towed by a local towing company and they impounded it in their lot. It is my parents car (I am 28 and borrowing their car until I buy a new one) However, I called the towing company to ask if I could pick it up and they informed me only the registered owner of the vehicle could pick up the car from the impound lot and they must have the title to the vehicle. If my parents find out about the arrest I will be cut off. I made a mistake and this was my last chance. My question is: is this a law in Connecticut or just the companies policy? I will do anything in order to get around this, I even offered the guy $1,000 cash to release the car to me and I said no. I'm wondering if this is not a law if I can talk someone into doing it. Please, please I need help!! Thank you so much
