Connect Treo 650 to T3 by Bluetooth

Are there any issues that would keep you from pairing a Sprint Treo 650 and a Tungsten T3 by bluetooth? In the past, I've been using a Sprint Sony Ericsson T608 with my T3.
 
You can "pair" the two devices but the dialer won't work. I have surfed on my T5 while using the Treo 650 on the Cingular network but that's about it. I guess you can transfer via BT but if your going to be that close - IR is just as fast for transferring stuff, IMHO.
