What are the three lowest frequencies for standing waves on a wire 11.0 m long (fixed at both ends) having a mass of 90 g, which is stretched under a tension of 250 N?
___Hz (lowest)
___Hz (next lowest)
___ Hz (3rd lowest)
I understand that f=v/wavelength
And i know v= sqrt (v/mass per length)
v=sqrt 250/(90/11))
v=5.53 m/s
Now, im just confused on how to find the wavelenths for the different frequencies.
Any idea?
thanks!
