I have had over the last year, intermittent pain in both feet although it has become increasingly more frequent and painful in the last 3-4 months. They are random shooting/stabbing-like pains in different areas of the foot (all on the bottom of the foot, not on top, but has occurred on toes as well). Also, over the last year, have noticed increased size in veins on the back of my hands. I attributed it to just getting older until minor discoloration started to appear, esp between the thumb and index finger. The color is greenish/bluish (not along vein lines--in area approx size of half dollar) and occasionally red marks and/or dots come and go on top of the discoloration. In the last 3 months also have had come and go cramp-like feelings in my calves. Very mild, but most likely have increased awareness to it as it started occuring around the same time as the foot pain. I have had regular exams with a doctor (most recently summer of 2008) who recently closed practice, so I am wondering if there is any reason to go into a doctor now just for these reasons. I have been told all prior tests have been normal. Any insight or recommendation is appreciated.
