CONFUSED: Not sure what data plan i need for blackberry

seriously. can someone help me out. i was told i could use just the wifi on the phone to use all my webstuff. unfortunately there is no way to use gmail without a data plan b/c they have an addon that uses data not wifi.

also, same with AIM, JiveTalk uses data.


can someone explain what all these diff data packages are at tmobile?

do i need the blackberry enterprise? i do not work for any corporation. the email i check is gmail. someone please help.
 
you can use wifi with router without data plan to access the internet and use gmail.com off the their website etc. but you'll have to be near in signal area and its pain

don't know of any specials. its 19 a month. Cheaper than other carriers.
 
the gmail actualyl wouldnt let me do the email checks at gmail.com. when i was eventually able to get in, it was alllllllll crazy.


am i supposed to go to wap.gmail.com or something?


so the 19.99 is the bb internet?


anyone here using AIM? just hoping i could chat with somene that could tell me some good things about this. right now i am not too impressed wiht my curve, but i also may not know all its capabilities. thanks guys.
 
you want to make sure you get the BB data for BIS (you dont need BES)

you can get an add on or a plan like Blackberry minutes and mail

I have the minutes and mail and get all my data, sms, and email. I love it.
